Airport Industrial Park (AIP) District Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The AIP - Airport Industrial Park District is one of Fort Lauderdale's two General Aviation Districts (with GAA), serving the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) area. It is intended to permit certain types of industrial, manufacturing and distribution uses that are often found in close proximity to general aviation airports, while prohibiting uses that may adversely impact airport operation.

Use limitations (Sec. 47-14.12.B)(1) No manufacturing permitted in the AIP district shall involve a boiling process; (2) Restaurants as a principal use only in conjunction with and within a development of at least 500,000 sq. ft. of improved land held under one ownership (sale/dispensing of food or beverages by the glass for off-premises consumption prohibited); (3) all raw materials, supplies and finished/semi-finished products must be stored in a completely enclosed building or behind a solid masonry wall that completely shields them from view
